Dylan is a self-proclaimed nerd who loves superheroes, but his true passion is the Saturday morning cartoon villain—those bungling, maniacal masters of mayhem who always shout “Curses! Foiled again!” When a new VRMMO called World of Supers launches, letting players choose to be heroes or villains, Dylan dives in, determined to play as a comically inept bad guy. But the game’s indie developer offers a life-changing promotion: players with high reputation can become permanent, paid raid bosses. Suddenly, the server is flooded with ultra-serious grinders chasing a career. Can Dylan’s goofy, nostalgic villainy survive against players who treat the game like a job?
